23/11/2020 - CNUE Press release -
On 10 December 2020, the CNUE is organising a virtual conference which will also be the closing event of the 2018-2020 training programme "Europe for Notaries - Notaries for Europe", organised with the support of the European Union.
During this programme, the CNUE organised 21 seminars in 14 Member States and provided training to several hundred notaries on family law and the fight against money laundering. The first panel of the conference will be specifically devoted to the lessons learned from the various seminars with the participation of the project’s scientific experts.
A virtual tour of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) will also be offered to the participants, as well as a discussion session with a Judge, who will present the role of the CJEU and the case law affecting the activities of notaries.
Finally, a second panel will discuss the consequences of the current health crisis, in particular the increasing digitisation of legal activities, through a dialogue between representatives of European notariats and the European Commission. On 2 December, the European Commission is due to present a communication on the digitalisation of the justice systems and on Cross-border e-Justice in Europe (e-CODEX). The conference will be an opportunity to present the content of these announcements in detail.
