Couples in Europe

According to statistics from the European Commission, there are now millions of international couples in Europe and a great amount of registered partnerships which have an international aspect.
More than ever, European couples need legal certainty: for their assets and properties or in case of separation or death.  They need to know which court has jurisdiction and what law is applicable to their situation.
This is why the UINL European Affairs Commission and the CNUE have decided to provide European couples with some factsheets giving an overview of the law in the European States, both part of the European Union and not, therefore providing answers to legal questions that any couple in Europe might have. Information concerning EU member states can be found on the website http://www.coupleseurope.eu
