28/06/2023

In the heart of the Fori Imperiali in Rome, in the church of San Lorenzo de' Speziali in Miranda, the Notarial Academy of the European Affairs Commission organized a round table on the protection of vulnerable adults through notarial powers of representation, such as powers of attorney which survive mental incapacity.

In the presence of the Italian Minister for Disabilities, Alessandra Locatelli, and the Member of Parliament, Secretary of the Social Affairs Commission of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, Paolo Ciani, Professors of International Law (Prof. Marina Castellaneta and Prof. Pietro Franzina) and European notaries (Me Philippe Potentier for France, Me Pedro Rincón de Gregorio for Spain and Ms Larissa OEBEL for Germany) showed how this innovative notarial instrument is of fundamental interest to vulnerable people.
