Opening of registration for the “Jean-Paul DECORPS” World Notarial University, Buenos Aires, 2020

13/03/2020

Applications for the 2020 edition of the "Jean-Paul Decorps" World Notarial University can now be submitted to the National Chambers of the UINL Notariats Member.

This academic training offered by the UINL in Spanish, French and English is intended to enable the understanding and application of the concepts of comparative law and international law through the exchange of good notarial practices.

The University includes:
- an online preparatory phase between teachers and students (through questionnaires),
- each year, a one-week on site seminar (this year from Monday 6 to Friday 10 July 2020 in Buenos Aires, Argentina).

The University's conclusions will be presented at the UINL triennial International Congress.

The training cycle is organized around a transversal topic fixed for the duration of the legislature (2020-2022), addressed through four modules: personal interests, patrimonial interests, family interests, inheritance interests.
Additional workshops will also deal with the notarial function, the authentic act, its digitalization and circulation.

The World Notarial University is primarily aimed at candidate notaries, trainees or young notaries with a good legal training but little notarial experience (<35 years of age or with less than five years of professional experience), and preferably not having participated in any previous edition of the University.

As the total number of students is limited, the UINL reserves the possibility of limiting the number of participants admitted for each country according to the applications received, it being specified that each Notariat has the right to have a minimum of 2 students participate.

The application (registration form, letter of application and curriculum vitae) must be presented and authorized by the Chamber, College or National Council of each Notariat by 15 april 2020 at the latest.

The participation fee is 200.00 USD or 180 Euros per participant.
