Launch of the 2nd UINL Prize for Legal Research

Following the success of the first edition of its Prize for Legal Research, the International Union of Notaries (UINL) is launching the second edition of this contest aimed at rewarding unpublished research works on persons with disabilities, the elderly, immigrants, children, refugees or other groups who are in a vulnerable position. 

For this second edition, the applicants can choose freely among three topics :

a) Housing and vulnerable groups. New forms of access to housing. Cohousing or coliving. Social housing.

b) The construction of supports by notarial means for the person with disability to provide valid consent by law: the assessment of discernment by the notary and supports.

c) Minors: assistance in the exercise of the guardianship function by the holders of parental authority. Cross-border parental assistance. Undocumented minors. Family crises and minors. Prenuptial pacts and agreements in crisis situations. Notarial actions in situations of parental crisis.

Works may be presented in English, French or Spanish and must be submitted before 3 p.m. (Rome time, Italy) on 31 March 2022 by e-mail to UINL, in accordance with the terms and conditions available at the following link

The winning study will be awarded 9,000.00 euros and the Prize will be given during the International Congress of Notaries  in fall 2022 in Mexico.
