News Far better if countries use notaries: findings of EXCAS research on World Bank Ease of Doing Business Index
19/11/2020 A recent working paper published by EXCAS European Xtramile Center of African Studies (world top research institution by impact factor) highlights that countries using notaries in the real estate transfers are the most efficient.
The study, through an aggregate assessment focusing on the data of the 190 economies analysed by Doing Business Registering Property Indicators, shows that countries using notaries are the most performant in terms of quality, fastness of the procedures and, against all stereotypes, also as concerns costs. The research also stresses that notaries facilitate the legal empowerment at global level, key development factor especially in the economies of Africa, Asia and Latin America.
