15/12/2023 After the great success of the 11th edition of the World Notariat University which took place in Rome last July, the UINL is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the 12th edition of the UNM, which will take place next July in PARIS!
Before the Olympic Games, Paris will welcome young notaries from the 91 member notariats for the first time since the University was founded by French notary and UINL Honorary President Jean-Paul Decorps.
Presentation of the training
The World Notariat University "Jean-Paul DECORPS" is an academic training proposed by the UINL in Spanish, French and English. It intends to enable the understanding and application of the concepts of comparative law and international law through exchanges of good notarial practices.
The training cycle is organized around the following transversal theme fixed for the duration of the legislature (2023-2025): " Respecting Public Policy (“Ordre public”): an essential mission of the Notariat, a constant challenge for the notary ".
This theme is addressed through five modules (Family, Person, Successions, Estate, Corporate Law/Anti-Money Laundering) each led by a Professor.
Format
The participants will benefit from a two-part training course. First, videoconferences courses with:
- An opening webinar,
- An intermediary workshop online
Then, Professors and all the participants will meet in Paris, France, for a closing weeklong workshop, at the beginning of July (dates to be announced)
Selection of candidates
Candidates are selected by each Member Notariat.
Candidates are required to have the following qualifications:
- be a notary or future notary;
- be under 35 years of age or have less than 5 years' professional experience;
- be fluent in at least one of the three teaching languages (French, Spanish or English), and preferably two or three of these languages.
- Preferably not having participated in any previous edition of the University.
Fees
The participation fees are USD 350.00 or EUR 350.00 per participant.
