22/05/2023 The first General Council of the 2023-2025 legislature was held in Cotonou, Benin. The President of the Notarial Chamber of Benin, Not. Gladys Edith. O. CAMPBELL GUEDEGBE, and the President of the African Affairs Commission (CAAf), Me Olagnika SALAM, gave a warm welcome to President Galliez and the delegations of the 91 member Notariats.
A major Forum was also organized on Co-ownership, one of the best tools for sustainable housing in African cities. Notaries from all continents participated, making the event a great success.
The Beninese Minister of Justice, Yves DETCHENOU, attended the event and praised the notarial action for legal certainty, security of tenure and access to housing for all.
