11/09/2017 The Indonesian Notary Association (INI), currently chairing the Asian Affairs Commission of the International Union of Notaries (CAAs) held its International Seminar on « ACTUALIZING EASE OF DOING BUSINESS: OPPORTUNITY, CHALLENGE AND ROLE OF NOTARY AND OTHER LEGAL PROFESSIONS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION ».
More than 1000 people participated in the meeting (notaries, notary candidates, lawyers, investors...) to identify the obstacles and steps to be taken to ease investment and increase economic growth.
Legal certainty was identified as a great concern for investors.
During the Networking Night organized on September 7, the UINL President and General Secretary presented the UINL’s organisation, together with the new UINL website and the Secured Notarial Seal (SNS) that the Indonesian Notariat is currently willing to apply among its notaries.
The President of the Indonesian Republic and several authorities (including the Governor of Bali, the representative of the Ministry of Law and Human rights and the Ministry of Agrarian and Spatial Planning) were present at the Seminar on September 8 and all underlined the importance of such reunions, in order to share issues and solutions with other countries and implement new solutions for better practices in every Notariat, to better serve the Society and its citizens, and particularly to ease the ways of doing business, while complying with a high legal security standard.
“The Indonesian Notary Association fully support the Government of Indonesia in its effort to raise the country’s standing in the Ease of Doing Business Index, which in turn greatly influences the investment climate and increase the economic growth of Indonesia.” said President of the Indonesian Notary Association Board, President of UINL Asian Affairs Commission for 2017, Mrs Yualita WIDYADHARI.
