World Notariat University goes online in 2020!

21/05/2020

Following the Covid-19 global health crisis, the 2020 edition of the World Notariat University will be virtual and the deadline to apply has been reopened until 10 June 2020.

This academic training offered by the UINL in Spanish, French and English is intended to enable the understanding and application of the concepts of comparative law and international law through the exchange of good notarial practices.

In 2020, the University will be exclusively virtual, through videos and online exchanges.

This is a great opportunity for candidate notaries, trainees or young notaries (<35 years of age or with less than five years of professional experience) to follow an international training without the need to travel.

The selection of candidates is established by each Member Notariat. As the total number of students is limited, the UINL reserves the possibility of limiting the number of participants admitted for each country according to the applications received, it being specified that each Notariat has the right to have a minimum of 2 students participate.

The work of the University will be presented at the triennial International Congress of the UINL.

The training cycle is organized around a transversal topic fixed for the duration of the legislature (2020-2022), addressed through four modules: person, family, estate, inheritance.

The University 2020 will also take into account the upheavals brought about by the health crisis and lock-down measures, in particular the use of new technologies and the circulation of authentic acts.

The application (registration form, letter of application and curriculum vitae) must be presented and authorized by the Chamber, College or National Council of each Notariat by 10 June 2020 at the latest.

The participation fee is 200.00 USD or 180.00 Euros per participant. This includes online training by the professors, lectures, exchanges, particularly through video format, and the synthesis by the Scientific Director.

Once the registration period has closed and the participants have been selected, the technical details to access the virtual courses of each teacher will be sent, with the content to be developed for each of the proposed topics and participants will be informed of the new working methodology.

The students of each Notariat will have the possibility of presenting their work by groups in a synthetic video. In addition, and if possible, webinar type virtual meetings will be held between teachers and participants to conclude the edition. At every stage, the corresponding information will be sent to the participants.
