News 111th Plenary Session of the American Affairs Commission in the Dominican Republic
18/04/2024 From April 17 to 21, 2024, representatives from 22 countries will meet in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) to discuss about the notarial function in America, on the occasion of the 111th plenary session of the American Affairs Commission (CAAm).
UINL President, Lionel Galliez, who is used to attend all the meetings of the Continental Commissions (African Affairs Commission, Asian Affairs Commission, European Affairs Commission, American Affairs Commission), made a point of coming to Punta Cana.
He reiterated the priorities of his presidency:
- "influencing international organizations"
- "expanding notarial competences through training and, of course, dejudicialisation",
- "adopting an international notarial code, which would be an incentive text, but not a binding one, constituting an international frame of reference to help each Notariat to strengthen itself and function better".
The themes of the VIIth Dominican Notarial Congress ("The Notariat of America: Present and Future") are: dejudicialisation, new technologies and digital signature certification.
